Another Great Weekend

Another great weekend in Northern AZ! Spent it with great friends... both old and new.

headed up to Flag with Luis, Shane, and Adam and chilled at Mike, Brett, Matt, and Doug's house. Logan showed up too... needless to say it was a packed house. We sat and watched football then spent the rest of the night at the train tracks.... It was a lot more fun that it sounds

We put change on the tracks

....And got super close to the train

That was pretty much the night

The next day was great... woke up about 10am and went for coffee at Macy's in downtown Flag. Then walked over too....
Probably the best burger you can pay for... It's surprisingly good... the fries too.

Then... we walked around downtown and had a great idea to....

play some disc golf!

It was gorgeous outside.

Random note: There was a ridiculous dog fight at the adjacent dog park... We just stood and stared as these dogs went at it.

After this we went to KARMA for sushi... good stuff.

Then we were all off to Lost Canyon for the leadership weekend (AKA Spouse Quest). I heard about 600 people attended... that's nuts.

There's this weird pressure to "talk" to the opposite sex. I'm not opposed to it... but a lot of people asked if there were any "potentials".

Haha... well... simply... there were. But what do you expect when you have a bunch of college age people together who love Christ?

Had to leave early to meet up with my pops for the Dbacks game

....Man they suck this year... the Cardinals even loss... to the F'n 49ers. Ugh.

Off to study... or at least try to

Sweet Weekend

This weekend was pretty good. Jeff needed some help for a men's group at Lost Canyon... so I showed up on camp about noon on saturday, worked the zip line for about 4 1/2 hours. Then just chilled out with a few people on camp then went and kicked it at Jeff's place with him and Heather.

Next day, went to church at Grace Community with Katie. There are soooo many people there that I knew. Seems like a decent church. I'd go there if I lived in flag.
After church we packed out Fratelli's Pizza... then Katie and I went to Barnes and Noble for a few hours.

We went to Karma for some sushi. I didn't want to look like a pig so i was pretty conservative with what i ate.

THEN... BLUEGRASS CONCERT!!!

Xavier Rudd opened up... His bassist and drummer were ridiculous. Fun to watch

This was the first bluegrass anything I've been exposed to.

Showed up and it was hippie madness! Hula hoops? at a concert?

This was Yonder Mountain on stage

A few people had hula hoops with lights in them.

Bryan Tinder sent this to me... They were stupid close!

Apparently a lot of people were smoking weed around them a lot... not surprising.

All in all it was a good experience. I'll probably go to another concert/gathering like this again... There's no way to look goofy at these things.
